A New Chapter
Sometimes You Set Out to Write One Story...
...and discover a completely different one.
Over the past several months, I've spent countless hours writing my first book, Construction Paper, Safety Scissors, and Crayons.
Something unexpected happened.
I thought I was writing a book.
Instead, I found myself uncovering the principles that had quietly guided my life all along.
That realization changed far more than the manuscript. It changed the direction of this website.
More Than Invention
When I first began writing here, my focus centered on innovation, product development, entrepreneurship, and business. Those subjects remain an important part of who I am, but they are no longer the entire story.
Where This Website Is Going
Going forward, you'll still find articles about innovation and problem-solving. You'll also find conversations about making better decisions, recognizing patterns, simplifying complexity, seeing situations more clearly, and understanding why people do what they do. I've come to realize that the most valuable thing I have to share isn't simply a collection of products I've designed. It's the way I've learned to think.
Every Lesson Has a Beginning
Some articles may begin with a business lesson, a conversation over coffee, a memory from decades ago, or an observation from everyday life.
Different stories. The same purpose.
To better understand how people think, why things work, and how small shifts in perspective can change everything.
My Hope
I hope these articles encourage you to look at familiar situations differently, ask better questions, recognize patterns sooner, think with greater clarity, and discover your own way of coloring outside the lines. "The most valuable thing I have to share isn't what I've built. It's the way I've learned to think."
Thank You
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for following the journey.
And thank you for allowing me to share a small part of mine.
I believe the best conversations are still ahead.
Until next time... keep asking better questions, keep looking for the patterns, and don't be afraid to color outside the lines.
