Interesting sign, but so very relevant to the subject of this blog. A sign, I’m sure even reflects light at night so nobody will miss the message. The sign to me is so totally useless, shouting to all that pass that there’s some type of opportunity ahead. A true entrepreneur doesn’t need to be warned or alerted to an upcoming opportunity they can see all the signs miles away and react accordingly, that’s why their entrepreneurs.
I recently had a high school class reunion, the first one that I was actually in the area and able to consider attending. It’s been twoscore since I saw these people and maybe the last chance to attend one. Leading up to the night of the event, I had some anxiety going on not because it had been so many years since I’ve seen these people but I knew I would be asked the dreaded question “So what do you do?”. It’s one of the hardest questions I get asked, what do I do, hmmm, the best answer I can give is I’m an inventor which leads to the famous deer in the headlights response. How does an entrepreneur answer the question, most don’t understand what an entrepreneur does or is and to be honest, an entrepreneur doesn’t either because what we do on a daily basis is, we look for signs of opportunity, which is so different from signs that announce opportunity like the image I chose for this blog, we just know’em when we see’em.
So, taking you back to The typical response I give, “I’m an inventor” even though it’s confusing to them and leaves them in a (what do I say now) state it’s so much easier for me than explaining, for example, I’ve pitched TV Shows to major world corporations, I’ve shot pilots for TV Shows I developed, been on TV over 400 times, met with Presidents and CEOs of major U.S. Corporations, been approached by numerous inventors to assist them in progressing with their ideas/innovations, designed product lines for major brands. I’ve done business with world known entertainment personalities in both music and film, artists, photographers, producers, directors, museums and other institutions, done business in countries around the world, been approached with business deal offers, partnerships, investment ideas in every form that you could think of. I’ve spoken to classes filled with troubled teens, wrote a book, and on and on and on.
So, am I an inventor, yes, am I an entrepreneur, yes but more accurately, I’m a person who is very good at spotting opportunity usually before others do, knowing what to do with the opportunity and move on it quickly without hesitation. That’s what makes me a great option for inventors, entrepreneurs who are confused about where to turn for help. I’m just a guy who knows opportunity, acts on it and has great connections. If you find those attributes to be something that will move your idea forward or just lets you know if it’s the one or should be done idea then reach out to me in the contact me form on my site.and also, please subscribe to my blogs, if you pick up just one piece of advice from my ramblings, it could make you some serious money…..
